PRIVACY & PERSONAL INFORMATION
Your information.
Handled with care.
How we use information you choose to send through this website.
Who we are
Wheatley House Moving Forward is a registered charity (number 1155406), with its registered address at 2 Byron Street, Wheatley Hill, Durham, DH6 3LD. For questions about personal information, contact info@wheatleyhouse.org.uk.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, optional telephone number, subject, message, and — for venue enquiries — event type, preferred date and expected guest count. We also use a short-lived security session and technical anti-spam controls to protect the forms. Do not send health, financial or other sensitive personal details through the form.
Why we use it
We use enquiry information to understand your request, reply to you, discuss potential arrangements and keep necessary records of our correspondence. The applicable legal basis is usually our legitimate interest in answering enquiries or steps requested before entering an arrangement. Where a different basis applies, we will explain it as appropriate.
Who may receive it
Enquiries are delivered to our designated charity email inbox and are handled by people authorised to respond on behalf of Wheatley House Moving Forward. Technical service providers involved in website hosting or email delivery may process information in providing those services. We do not sell enquiry data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, any resulting arrangement, and applicable legal or record-keeping obligations. Records are reviewed and deleted when no longer required.
Your rights
Subject to applicable UK data protection law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to certain processing, or to request portability in applicable circumstances. You can contact us at the email address above. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Cookies and externally hosted images
Our enquiry forms may use a strictly necessary short-lived session cookie for form security. Illustrative photography is currently requested from Unsplash-hosted image services; your browser may connect to those services to retrieve imagery. The website does not use advertising trackers in this version.
Updates to this policy
We may update this information when the site's forms, hosting or working practices change. You can contact us if you would like further information.
